#BlogchatterA2Z- B for Bold & Beautiful and much more

One of the shades of women is being bold. Being bold doesn’t mean intimidating or extreme, or even loud. Bold means being brave and confident in your own ways. On a day in day out basis, we come across many bold women. We are inspired by them in our families, in our workplaces, women from our history books, the ones who are fighting the battle on the field, the women from our past and the ones from our present and so many more women inspire us who have paved the way to make it happen.Bold Women

More often than not these women who are bold are being judged for the choices she makes. I am sure you all would have come across comments like she wears such short clothes, she has such strong opinion, she takes all her decision by own, she doesn’t want to listen to anyone, she is so outgoing and independent, oh she is too bold she isn’t married yet, look at her she has so many boys as friends, oh my god she drinks and smokes too. Well, are these not independent choices that she makes for herself. But have we ever wondered despite listening to all these comments and more she soars high? She aims for the stars and reaches the moon.
Bold WomenNot just today’s women are getting to hear such comments, back in the days of our history also some women were honoured with such adjectives. Recently I was reading about Noor Jehan, who was a famous playback singer from our neighbouring country. All her life she was known for the choices she made and how strongly she voiced her opinion. Despite various rumours and news related to her strong opinion, her relationships with men or her thoughts around intimacy never deterred her from being what she was. And today with so many accolades in her kitty she is proudly known for her work, her huge heart and beautiful soul that she was, how she touched the lives of so many in need. Today people proudly remember her for her contribution to the music industry and how she touched so many people across the borders.

Nothing is sweeter than being unapologetically you. Don’t live your life just to impress others. Reveal your truth, express your love, boldly live your dreams.

~Amaka Nkosazana

With society so huge we have different opinions but largely women who go beyond her set boundaries and attempts to make a life in male-dominated professions she is labelled as bold. It’s not that the women want to show the other gender down, she just wants to take the risk, have the courage and change the perspective of society so that there would be no gender discrimination. Bold WomenWhile the women are achieving newer heights, they still respect the teachings and morality of their families but the only trait of bold women is she is raising her voice and being courageous enough to demand change if injustice is done.

Honestly being bold for me is all about being able to enjoy my cup of tea whilst I with due respect serve your cup and as long as you do not judge me for the taste of it. Today, when women raise her voice, it’s not to prove the other gender low or she is not competing with the men and prove how better women are. All they want is to preserve her dignity and erase the needless and uncalled compulsion to prove herself worthy of respect.

Women are the full circle in themselves with an ability to create, nurture and transform. For the world who labels her as bold, remember it’s not easy for her to be bold. It’s a very challenging and tough job because being bold doesn’t mean to always show the passion, courage and voice opinion. It’s about showing same energy, devotion and fortitude. I am not sure if we should call ourselves a fully developed country but maybe work in progress. Well, in this work in progress country we will still find women who are silenced, dominated by the stronger gender. But we need bold women who can fight for what they deserve. Boldness is an integral part of women to have a happy and successful life without sacrificing their whims, freedoms and rights.

This is one such topic that I truly feel from within and can go on and on but would like to conclude that women are not made for elegant and beautiful Jewellery that hides them within themselves they are for the rifle and the guns that shot every taboo of the so-called society. The hands that can cut vegetables in the kitchen can also stab when in need. We and the society need to understand she takes bold decisions and steps to make a more gender-inclusive world and to uplift the whole society. Remember half of the sky belongs to women without whom the world would be hellish. Cherish the women in your life and be her wings so that she can soar higher and higher.

Stay tuned for yet another shade of women that sets her apart. She classy, courageous, charming, colourful, calm, composed, capable and much more. Read on in my next post.
