Isn’t the above quote true? Women with all her poise, calm demeanour and composed personality look ethereal and elegant. No matter what comes her way she maintains her cool and never let her manners falter at all. It’s a magical quality that a woman can possess no matter where she comes from, her financial statement or her career. In my career of over 11 years, I have come across various such women who have inspired me and the likes of me in their early careers. So, what makes these women elegant and what are the few characteristics of such elegant women.

Having good manners- The ones who are elegant by personality and looks are also the ones who have very good manners and they never let it falter under any circumstances

Being Subtle- Being subtle is one of the most essential traits of being an elegant and classy woman. It’s about doing things in moderation and never overdo anything. Dress sharply, wearing subtle yet classy makeup, be polite, paying attention to things around, laughing just enough and not too loud are some of the things that make a woman appear more elegant.

Carrying yourself well in public- How you behave in public is of huge importance. How you stand, sit or how you talk shows a lot about you. Finding a private place to take care of personal things like blowing nose, burping, receiving a phone call and much more comes under decent public behaviour that forms a personality of elegant women.

Elegance is a state of mind, first and foremost

Exhibiting confidence- Confidence is imperative in an elegant woman. Be independent-minded and don’t be afraid to speak your mind in front of others when necessary. Most important is to know when to start and when to put a stop on words. Women with low self-esteem will find it difficult to manage elegance. To stand out as a person with elegance you need to gradually with efforts change and mould your personality.

Dress well- How you look leaves a strong impact on others around. It’s important to dress well but know the difference between dressing classy and trashy. One must always ensure that the dress you are wearing is making you look comfortable and happy in.

Maintaining modesty- Elegant women with good assets know how she should showcase them without being vulgar. Choosing appropriate clothing and showcasing your good points at a particular place is classy but showing your assents anytime you feel like is trashy.

Elegance, as we know, is a graciousness in action, and possessing a certain confident simplicity. All women, if they want, can be elegant if they take care of certain points that make a good personality. She can be elegant in nine yards as well as in a mini skirt if she carries herself well with all the poise and modesty.
