#BlogchatterA2Z J Juggle- Women a perfect juggler

Since time immemorial women are managing various roles and try and do justice to each role of theirs. Its never been easy for them to juggle between happy family life and a thriving career. To be honest it’s still not easy since being a full-time working mom comes with a bout of stress and guilt of not being able to give enough time to work and family.JuggleHaving said that, its 21st century that we are living in and today’s women want to have it all. From a successful career, happy married life, kids and solitude to find some time for themselves. Its been around 11 years since I started my career. Its been a great journey so far with lots of lessons learnt and all thigs between good and bad. Being ambitious and wanting to have a good career had led me to live a weekend married life in the early years of our marriage. I wouldn’t say it was easy, I had my shares of struggles, I may have failed too, cried on my decisions too, but with time and now with being the mother of two kids I have learnt to strike a balance between life, work and family. They say resilience is the key and one of the greatest strengths of women, I stood strong on my ground and stuck to a few important things to manage work, family life, and myself. As the title says the word juggle, indeed women are great jugglers and easy or hard way they learn to juggle things like a pro.JuggleHere are a few tips that I have personally followed all these years.

Set priorities- When you are trying to be a successful woman you must set of professional and personal priorities lined up well. And to set these priorities you can put them in order of what needs to be excel at, what can’t be compromised upon, what can just be good enough and what is that doesn’t require much of your efforts. Having answers to these questions will help you set them in order of importance and you will be able to deliver better and quick.Set expectations right at the workplace- Always be transparent with your employer about your situation at home. What you can manage and what you cannot please set expectations right. I still remember the time when I had joined a new company after a sabbatical of 8 months. Right at the time of the interview, I had clarified on a few things and my situations. Having a child to drop and pick from daycare required me to be flexible at work. Going to the office early and leaving early was one of the conditions I had discussed with my employer beforehand. This permission that I received had helped me in managing life with a child, family and work.

Learn to delegate- We are humans and can’t do everything on our own. We need to give up and give away some work. There is no harm in taking help from others. Hence wherever you can please delegate the work.

Maintain connection- All thanks to technological advancement do stay connected with your loved ones during the day while you are away at work. It gives immense satisfaction when you know that your kids are safe and sound.

Set limits between home and work- Learn to say no when things don’t align with your priorities. It’s the best mantra according to me to juggle personal and professional life well. While you are spending time with your family ensure to not use any gadgets that can come in between your family time. Especially the ones that have to do with your work.

Have some me-time- Taking out time to do things that you love is the best way to unwind and feel relaxed as well. At times its good to be selfish and just think about yourself. You could book the spa, salon, massage session. Learn to take care of yourself because you are the one who would be able to take care of the family if you are happy from within. These are some of the things that I have learned the hard way to juggle well between home and work. You don’t have to be a working mom to follow this. The stay at home mums equally goes through a lot to manage the family and home well. She juggles equally and needs some relaxation too.

Hope you liked what you read. Stay tuned to read about next in line K.
