Kids’ Nutrition Facts We Need to Know

Being a parent is both an exciting and tough job. As parents, we try to provide every possible thing to our children during their growth period so that their development is not affected. The growth period of a child is similar to that of a plant sapling, they both need continuous care and nutrition. While we parents understand the importance of good nutrition for kids and try our best, even then, it can get tedious to make meals nutritious and tasty.

Myths and facts on nutrition

While nutrition plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the body, there are many myths around nutrition. I should be doing and not doing for her growth, most of them being myths. Even during my childhood, my mother believed many myths around nutrition. But do you know these are nothing but myths? A healthy and wholesome diet needs to provide all necessary nutrients in adequate quantities, as each nutrient plays a specific role. It is not good to eliminate any nutrients.

Kids' Nutrition Facts

A child’s intellectual development, memory, and immune function can all be affected by a lack of adequate, diverse, and nutritious food. If not addressed in the early stages of life, the consequences can be irreversible.

Why is child nutrition important?

Childhood is a period of fast growth, and they must receive proper nourishment throughout this time. Inadequate nutrition can have both short-term and long-term health consequences.

Getting my kids to eat healthy foods can sometimes feel like fighting an uphill battle. The greener and leafier the food plate, the greater the struggle for me. I tried various ways to make the food creative and tasty but children are very choosy when it comes to eating. Despite all my attempts to hide the greens in their plate they would often find the vegetables and leave them.

Finding ways to fill in these nutritional gaps

Recently, I was looking for the best ways to fulfill the nutritional needs of my children, and I happened to be at the virtual launch of the new PediaSure. At the launch, I got to know that the new and improved PediaSure is available in two flavours and contains two main ingredients, Arginine and Vitamin K2. which helps in longer and stronger bones in children of 2-6 years old. [i]

While studying a little deeper around the new launch of PediaSure, I came to know about 60by6 growth which implies that 60% of bone development occurs by the age of 6. Did you know that by the age of six, your child’s bones have grown 60%? It’s critical to provide your child with the proper nutrients at this period. I’m happy that the new PediaSure has Arginine and Vitamin K2, which help children’s bones grow longer and stronger.

The best part of this product is that it is filled with vital nutrition required for the kids’ development and is very tasty. Both chocolate and vanilla flavours are delicious. The vanilla flavour comes with 30% less sucrose content, making it a great choice for my kid. It is also scientifically tested for better immunity and visible growth in 90 days.

Nothing is more important than ensuring my kids grow healthy with balanced nutrition as part of their diet. And PediaSure with the presence of nutrients like Arginine and Vitamin K2 takes care of mothers’ worries very well.

Conclusion

Young kids are very active but most of the time have poor eating habits that lead to deficiencies. Children should be fed very carefully so that they get complete nutrition in the initial years of life for healthy growth of bones and development of the body too. Encouraging kids for outdoor play is also important for holistic development. Parents need to ensure that the children get food from each of the five food groups (carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and fibre), the amount depending on the age, physical growth, and level of activity of the child. This requirement can easily be met by introducing PediaSure in your child’s diet along with mamma’s balanced meals! And to ensure proper growth, regular growth assessment is also helpful in maintaining adequate dietary intake and physical growth. It will help you understand if you’re on the right track!

Love your blog, Rakhi. I agree feeding nutritional meals, especially the initial few years of childhood creates a strong base for the kid’s growth and development.
