Diwali décor ideas- 6 Things you can do during Covid 19

With the onset of October people in India gear up for the festive season. Many people including me find this part of the year as best and why not? It’s that time of the year when a lot of us travel to our home towns, visit families, make plans of making and eating festive sweets and a variety of dishes. We get to enjoy time with loved ones and celebrate small things of life. However, with covid 19 and a steady rise in the case this year, I guess not many would be traveling and planning much around the festivities. But we can do one thing for sure. And that is gearing up and decking the house for the festivities. Why not indulge in some changes around the house to kick the boredom and anxiety of staying indoors this festive season.

In this post of mine, I will be sharing small changes that you can bring to your home by redecorating the house and adding to the good mood. I have personally shared a few of these Diwali décor ideas with a few of my friends and families after truing in my own house. And trust me they do help in de-stressing and, at the same time, take your interiors a notch higher. Read on.

Make a garden- Well, this one my most favorite hobby and I enjoyed this all the more while trying to make my house livelier and more energetic. Getting plants in your house can be one of the most positive decorating ideas for all of us. Having a garden or plants set up in your balcony or indoors can also help improve the aesthetics of the house. If in the kitchen you have got space and good lighting you can set up grow bags and put some nice herbs that you could make good use of in your kitchen. Get some nice house plants that do not even need much caring for the rest of your home; they will dramatically enhance the interiors.Diwali Décor Ideas Reorganize furniture- Trust me on this guy, it’s one of the easiest and super-effective home decor ideas, rearranging furniture as it immediately refreshes your interiors. Ensure you place the furniture keeping the space in mind. Placing larger pieces first and then fitting in smaller ones helps in make it looks smoother.Diwali Décor IdeasDe-clutter the house- I am sure we all do this most awaited yearly cleaning before the October festivities begin. De-cluttering is one very good way of getting rid of things that are no longer required and they also help in making space for stuff that can look better.

Home office- Since for a better part of the remaining year at least, most of us would be working from home only. Many have been granted WFH till next June. So, what better than creating a lovely cozy space for your office work. And I am sure this small project of making a home office will also help u boost your morale. Create a nice and lovely corner for yourself to be cooped up during the day. You can then get creative with selecting décor items around such as paintings, pots and planters, your chair, and perhaps a throw rug. You can keep adding elements to accentuate it as you go. Get creative with pictures- Since we have quite a lot of online printing options available so go ahead and gate some of your memories framed and add them to your favorite walls in the house. You can make a collage of your family and important events to accentuate the living area.

You could invest in some good macrame hangings, jute baskets, making your décor using things that are already lying in the house. Reusing the plastic bottles and making planters out of it. There is no dearth of ideas to make things without spending too much money. So put your thinking hats on and come up with some amazing Diwali décor ideas. Diwali Décor IdeasThese simple Diwali décor ideas will not just make your house look refreshed but will also give you reasons enough to feel accomplished.

Decluttering and allowing green plants into your space is the best way to add positivity in your life. I keep changing the decor on my table as this is the place I am mostly on during the day.

These are some great decor ideas. Since last year I have started planting a tree instead of burning crackers on diwali and I think we should teach our next generation that.
