Watching television has been one of my hobbies at a young age. However, with the fast-paced life and responsibilities, I missed watching the television and my favorite shows. Given the fact that now we are under lockdown and restricted to the home, I have revisited my long-lost hobby and loved watching some of my favorite shows and movies on television.
Born in the 80’s I have always been a stickler for romantic shows and movies. Watching the couples in the serials living happily ever after has been my die-hard wish always. Recently while surfing for more such romantic shows I came across one of the most loved romantic shows of its time Pavitra Rishta which is now streaming on ZEE5. Pavitra Rishta is a Hindi romantic drama television series starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande in the lead role. It is one of the most beautiful love stories of a lovely couple Manav and Archana played by Sushant and Ankita respectively. From meeting each other for the first time to getting married and wooing each other in their marriage. This show had won many hearts.
With the interesting storyline and plot, Pavitra Rishta had kept the audience glued to the television episode after episode. The best part about the entire story was the lead character Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput) and his unconditional love for his family and wife Archana (Ankita). As the story progresses it showcases the amazing chemistry of the lead couple and strong character of Manav who with his dedication in life moves up to become a successful & rich businessman along with being a wonderful husband, father, and son to his family.
I loved a few of the characteristics of the role played by Sushant that teaches us a lot. From respecting his wife to supporting her dreams, the role of Manav played by Sushant Singh Rajput is an ideal example of a husband. Manav in this show is known for his generosity, high ambition, his down to earth, and humble attitude. All these qualities have a strong semblance to Sushant in his real-life too.
With the time leaps taken by the show in the years gone we saw various characters and shades of the lead pair. How they evolved as better human beings and role models for so many out there. These time leaps highlight new characters, new plots and sub-plots, new conspiracies, and more that kept the audience interested for so long.
The supporting cast who were related to the lead roles has played their roles wonderfully. They have justified each of their roles without which the show would not have been this huge success and loved by the audience.
Given its story, characters, emotional turns, and plots, Pavitra Rishta has come back again on Zee5 to serve as a complete family package with something to keep every family member hooked on the television. Sushant sing Rajput’s demise was tragic… Still trying to come in terms with it. Good to know that they are telecasting pavitra rishta again.
I had not watched pavitra rishta previously but heard a lot about it. Will surely try to watch this now. Both leading actors are my favorite and would love to see their onscreen chemistry after years.
I have watched the show when it was aired on ZEE tv years ago and like the characters played by lead and supporting cast. The story line was also interesting to watch it again.

I remember loving this show Pavitra rishta when it was first aired. It had a touch of simple Marathi family life. I would watch it again on zee 5 for the awesome chemistry of Sushant & Ankit.
Oh my god, I can’t tell you how big of a fan my parents are of this serial. They absolutely love watching it over and over again. I too have watched a few episodes and love it.
