I feel in our society many people suffer from depression and anxiety but they did not considered it serious or feel hesitate to take professional consultation due to stigma attached with various mental issues. I agree these mental health issues are like slow poison and people should take professional help, if things are not manageable on their own.

I agree with all your thoughts in fact many of us undergo phases of anxiety and even kids too especially in this lockdown scenario but one thing I feel the need is that these counsellors be more accessible to the masses. Currently for every sitting the doctors charge 800-1000 Rs. And these problems requires recurring visits.

Wonderful post, Rakhi. I am glad you are creating awareness in this area. Seeking help isn’t about being sick or a patient. We need to address this first to wipe off the taboo. Mental health needs right guidance and care, that’s very important.
