Introducing you to the lifestyle accessory of the New Normal- The Mask

As we are aware the whole world is reeling under the covid-19 scare for almost a year and a half now. By locking ourselves indoors, washing hands, regularly sanitizing ourselves and all the surfaces in the house to keeping the mask game on. We have been doing it all and everything has become so much a part of our daily lives. Mask is the savior and it’s going to stay with us for the long time to come. The face mask has become a lifestyle accessory for us all.

It indeed is true that face masks have become a crucial and indispensable part of our everyday life. From stepping out for quick grocery shopping, to even opening the house door for some errands, one needs to sport the mask every single time to protect themselves and others from the spread of Covid-19.

New Normal- The Mask

I would often wonder how will I wear the mask every time while stepping out? How will it match the outfits I am wearing? And so on. But fashion and style have its way and it paves the way in our lives. Once used purely for functional purposes by a particular set of people, now masks have evolved at breakneck speed into an utmost necessity. While looking for some good quality masks for my family that go well with our lifestyle, I came across ‘MY’ Mask Series 1 Antiviral Mask and ‘MY’ Mask Series 3 with a Particulate filter. They have some of the most amazing masks to try for the entire family. They have got a host of color options to choose from and easily match with your outfits too. So, this completely sorted our need of matching the masks with the lifestyle.New Normal- The Mask I tried the series 1 Antiviral mask from ‘MY’. These are triple action filter masks that are anti-viral, anti-pollution, and anti-bacterial as well. These masks have built-in filters made of activated carbon and copper. The use of this mask can help us stay protected from viruses, pollutants, and poisonous gases with 99.96% efficiency.

Given the fact that the first lockdown anniversary has just passed, we realize that masks have evolved into an unexpected lifestyle staple. They have become a medium of expression for many, different colors and varieties are adding to the fashion quotient as well. On a lighter note, having a mask is a bonus because it helps you do minimal makeup, and helps you hide the expressions and smile.☺

New Normal- The Mask

If you are looking to try some cool and trendy masks you should check out the other range offered by MY. They have a series 3 mask as well. The Series 3 mask offers an additional layer of protection to the activated carbon and copper layers with the particulate filter. When the particulate filter reaches a threshold of 42 hours, swap the used filter with the new one and you are good to go. It is also tested to kill viruses with 99.96% efficiency. Isn’t it cool?

These masks can easily be used safely for 6 months with once in a week wash required at home. Every mask comes in a breath-free pouch along with a test report of the mask. With the current scenario, we all are looking for almost 100% protection against the virus around. So, what better than using a brand that assures 99.96% protection.

To help you further I am sharing few tips on taking care of your face masks.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before wearing and removing the mask and repeat it after wearing or removing it as well.
  • While wearing and removing the masks do not touch the front of the mask. Always hold the strips and wear them.
  • Masks made of cotton fabric must be washed after every use with hot water. Dry the mask in direct sunlight.
  • Disposable or surgical masks need to be disposed of carefully after use immediately. They cannot be reused.
  • Try and keep the masks separate of all family members at home.
  • Store the clean mask in a clean place that is away from dust and dirt.

The way sunglasses and hats have evolved from sun protection to fashion and lifestyle accessories, masks have started to do the same. Because masking is not just about protecting ourselves; it’s about protecting our loved ones and the loved ones of others as well.

Embrace the change with style!

Even before we saw the evidence on the importance of mask-wearing, masks were becoming a must-have accessory for all. It’s one of the most popular commodities emerging from the pandemic. Since wearing face masks is going to be a way of life for the foreseeable future why not learn to embrace it. Aside from offering protection, it could also be your style statement.

Masks are our new normal. Here, at some places, they are going to lift the mandatory requirement of wearing masks soon but I am sure, people will still wear it. As you said, it is not just for us but for others too.

Masks often get dirty and become a thriving home of germs. These anti-viral and anti-bacterial masks seem perfect for Mumbai’s humid weather. I also like their simple but effective design.
