7 Best plants to keep in bedroom and alleviate your mood #CauseAChatter

Being a plant lover, I have kept plants in each and every corner of my house. Some are meant to create a green ad cozy environment; some are meant to blend in the overall boho home décor in my house and some are meant to add the much-needed oxygen in the house and alleviate the mood. With such wide varieties of plants available, we are sure to find a plant for every different corner of the house. And today in my post I will be talking about putting up plants in the bedroom. Not only do plants look great, but they also have amazing health benefits, and some can even aid your sleep. I am compiling here a list of the best plants to keep in the bedroom and how they alleviate your mood. Aside from the health benefits plants also add a nice touch of decor and bright energy to any indoor space.

Best plants for bedroom

There are quite a lot of plants that emit oxygen during the night and few that emit CO2. Given the years of experience and knowledge of plants, I have come to understand the benefits of having the right ones in the bedroom.

Here is the list of best plants to be kept in a bedroom

  1. Jasmine- Jasmine plants have beautiful white flowers with a lovely fragrance. It is often used to make essential oils as well which helps in relaxation and promotes good sleep. Thus Jasmine makes for a wonderful and perfect plant to keep in the bedroom as the natural scent helps in inducing good sleep and relaxes the senses too.
  2. Snake plant- The snake plant is one of the lowest maintenance plants and doesn’t require much from its human parents. It’s one of the top 10 plants in NASA’s list of top air-purifying plants. It is a great option to keep in the bedroom as it converts CO2 to oxygen at night thus helping in breathing more oxygen and fresh air.Best plants for bedroom
  3. Lavender- Yet another plant with beautiful fragrance and helps in inducing sleep. Lavender smell relaxes the body and is often used in essential oils. It has been proven that the fragrance of the lavender plant lowers our heart rate, blood pressure, and stress levels, which is why it’s perfect for the bedroom. They like sunlight so you can keep it on the window sill of your bedroom.Best plants for bedroom
  4. Peace lily- Peace lilies are known to cleanse the air quality. It also helps in increasing the humidity in the room. And it’s well known that humidity is great for breathing while asleep. 5. Aloe Vera- This lovely medicinal plant is a great addition to your bedroom. It produces oxygen at night, so like the other plants listed mentioned in the list here, it will improve the air in your bedroom. It is succulent and needs very little water. You could keep it near the bedroom window as it does need little sunlight to stay healthy.
  6. Money plant- It’s one of the most common house plants and makes for a perfect plant to brighten up any corner in your house. There are many varieties of money plants that are also called Philodendron and they are quite effective at absorbing formaldehyde. Thus you can hang it in the planter in the bedroom of your window, keep it in a bottle or keep it in a beautiful pot.Best plants for bedroom

What a cool post! Never thought about buying a plant specifically for mood. I use scented candles mostly but this sounds like an excellent idea. Thank you!
