Jade Plant- Tips and Tricks to growing the healthy plant

Jade is one plant that has been around for many decades though they have got the due importance a few years back. Considered to be the symbol of good luck these plants are quite easy to grow in the house with moderate to less care. Today in this post I will share some quick tips and trips on how to grow them easily in-house and take care of them.Jade Plant

How to grow a jade plant in the house

Jade plants can be grown both outdoors and indoors as well. In this post, I am going to be talking about growing them indoors. So first and foremost, you need a bright spot in your house as Jade loves bright light. And mind you they love sunlight too so they can easily grow outdoors. For them to flourish and grow nicely ensure they get bright light indoors too.

Most people love to plant the jade in the small posts as they make for cute home decoration too. You could make a jade bonsai or pot in a huge pot as well.  As per your liking, you can pot the plant.Jade Plant

Watering Jade plant

Jade plant is mainly succulent and they do not like to sit in moist and soggy soil. So, between watering please ensure the soil is dry 1 to 2 inches on top. If the plant is indoor, you can water the plant once in 2 weeks as well depending on the soil.

Quick Tip- If you see blisters and leaves becomes soft and mushy it’s a sign of overwatering. So, stop watering completely till the soil is absolutely try.

Nutrition for Jade plant

You can add water-soluble fertilizer to the plant once every six months for steady growth. Also, as much as you prune the plant it grows that much. Never fertilize your jade plant when the soil is dry, as this will damage the roots.

Propagating Jade Plant

The Jade plant is of utmost ease to multiply. Just break off a piece and let the bottom sit inside the mud. You can also dip it in honey and then apply cinnamon powder for quick rooting.  Or you can use rooting hormones specifically for propagating plants. In fact, the jade plant can also grow just by putting the broken leaf inside the mud and wait for the base to grow.Jade Plant

Hope you liked these suggestions on growing the jade plant at home. It’s very simple and easy to survive and makes your corners look pretty too.
