Becoming a mother changes the whole life of a woman. It can be overwhelming for several reasons. Firstly, the physical changes- the birth of a baby followed by exhaustion and secondly the emotional changes the woman has to go through due to the raging hormones. Being a mother myself, I took the hard decision of taking a career break for 3 years to look after my kids (older 8 yrs and younger on 3yrs old now). When I decided to get back to my career, I found myself confused about what to do. I kept wondering if I should return back to the career I was in before pregnancy or try something new. Many women go through the same situation. It is quite natural as after becoming a mother, priorities change overnight. Motherhood changes the perspective and outlook of their careers. It is natural for mothers to be detail-oriented, and this skill can be perfectly used to develop a strong career as well.
